I count $3250.00 paid out and 11 or 12 people listed for an IAPD conference. Can you illuminate as to when, where and why this amount was spent on some conference? 11 or 12 people? Did we host this?
ReplyDeleteThank you in advance for your diligence on this-Jeff Cooper, fed-up and upset with the 'old-guard'
Jeff Cooper,
ReplyDeleteI believe the "new guard" was at this conference as well. It is every year and has been for years. It is one perk the board gets for putting in all their time for free.
The GEPD did send 12 people to the IAPD conference at the Chicago Hilton. I don't know the exact numbers, but many stayed overnight 1-3 nights too. Ed Hess was the only board member who attended.
ReplyDeleteThese expenses were all part of the 2010 budget that Jay, Julia and I voted against. Conference expenses were one of the things we wanted to cut. I see no reason for overnight expenses at a local conference.
This 'Warming Hut' is so much more than that. It has a flat screen tv, granite counters, cabinets. It is more like a club house. I would prefer to see this money put towards renovations at the boat house to be honest.
